    LockAtlas Corporation ("we," "us," "LockAtlas"), a Delaware corporation, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the LockAtlas mobile application and website at lockatlas.com (the "Platform").

    1. Information We Collect

    Personal Information

    When you create an account or use our Platform, we collect:

    • Name, email address, phone number, and billing address
    • Payment card information (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers)
    • Precise geolocation data (only when you request a service)
    • Service address and access instructions
    • Photos, reviews, and feedback you submit
    • Communications with us and Technicians through the Platform

    Automatically Collected Information

    We automatically collect:

    • Device information (model, operating system, unique identifiers)
    • IP address and approximate location
    • App usage data and analytics
    • Cookies and similar tracking technologies

    2. How We Use Your Information

    We use your information to:

    • Connect you with licensed Technicians and facilitate service requests
    • Process payments and send receipts
    • Verify your identity and prevent fraud
    • Send service updates, notifications, and customer support messages
    • Improve the Platform through analytics and research
    • Send marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)
    • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

    3. How We Share Your Information

    With Technicians

    When you request a service, we share your name, service address, phone number, and real-time location with the matched Technician to enable service delivery.

    With Service Providers

    We share information with trusted third-party service providers, including:

    • Stripe, Inc. for payment processing
    • Cloud hosting providers (AWS, Google Cloud)
    • Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
    • Customer support tools
    • Background check providers (for Technician verification only)

    For Legal Reasons

    We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LockAtlas, our users, or others.

    Business Transfers

    In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

    We Do Not Sell Your Data

    We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

    4. Your Privacy Rights

    Access and Correction

    You may access and update your account information at any time through the Platform or by contacting privacy@lockatlas.com.

    Deletion

    You may request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing privacy@lockatlas.com. We will delete your data within 30 days, except for information we must retain for legal or regulatory purposes.

    Opt-Out of Marketing

    You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking "unsubscribe" or by contacting us. You may opt out of SMS marketing by replying STOP.

    California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

    California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

    • Right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it
    • Right to delete personal information (with certain exceptions)
    • Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)
    • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

    5. Location Data

    PROMINENT DISCLOSURE: LOCATION DATA USAGE

    LockAtlas collects your precise GPS location when you actively request a locksmith service to enable the following essential features:

    • Technician matching: We connect you with the nearest available licensed locksmith based on your service location
    • Real-time tracking: You can see your assigned technician's live location and estimated arrival time (ETA)
    • Service delivery: Your service address is shared with the technician to enable them to reach your location
    • Platform safety: Location data helps us verify service completion and investigate safety incidents

    When Location Data Is Collected

    We collect your precise location ONLY when you:

    • Open the app to request a service
    • Enter or confirm your service address
    • Track your technician's arrival in real-time during an active service

    We do NOT collect location data in the background (when the app is closed or not actively in use). Location tracking stops automatically when you close the app or when your service is completed.

    Your Control Over Location Access

    You can control location permissions in your device settings (Settings > Apps > LockAtlas > Permissions > Location). You may choose:

    • Allow only while using the app (recommended)
    • Deny (this will prevent you from requesting services)

    If you deny location access, you will not be able to request locksmith services, as location is essential for matching you with nearby technicians and enabling service delivery.

    Additional Location Details

    • We do NOT track your location when you are not actively using the app
    • Location data is encrypted during transmission and storage
    • Your service address is only shared with the technician assigned to your job
    • Historical location data is retained for 90 days for safety audits and dispute resolution, then permanently deleted

    6. Data Retention

    We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we retain certain information for 7 years to comply with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements, then permanently delete it.

    7. Security

    We use industry-standard encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    8. Children's Privacy

    The Platform is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will delete it immediately.

    9. Cookies and Tracking

    We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, analyze usage, and deliver personalized content. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may limit Platform functionality.

    10. International Data Transfers

    Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We use standard contractual clauses and other safeguards to protect your data during international transfers.

    11. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Platform at least 30 days before changes take effect. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
