    What Happens When You Delete Your Account

    Here's exactly what will be deleted and what will be retained

    What Gets Deleted

    Within 30 days

    • Your account profile and login credentials
    • Your name, email, phone number, and home address
    • Your booking history and service requests
    • Your payment methods (we never store full card numbers)
    • Your reviews and ratings you've submitted
    • Your communication history with technicians
    • Your app preferences and settings
    • Your precise geolocation data

    What Gets Retained

    For legal/regulatory reasons

    • Transaction records (retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance)
    • Anonymized analytics data (no personally identifiable information)
    • Fraud prevention records (if applicable)
    • Legal dispute records (if any active disputes exist)

    We retain certain data to comply with IRS tax regulations, payment processing requirements (Stripe), and legal obligations. Retained data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to you.

    Just Need a Break?

    You don't need to delete your account if you just don't need locksmith services right now. Your account stays inactive until you need us again.

    Privacy Concerns?

    Review our Privacy Policy to understand how we protect your data. We never sell your information and only use it to provide service.

    Billing Issue?

    If you have a billing dispute or refund request, contact support before deleting your account. We're here to help.

    How to Delete Your Account

    You can delete your account directly in the LockAtlas mobile app

    Open the LockAtlas App

    Open the LockAtlas app on your iPhone or Android device and log in to your account.

    Go to Profile

    Tap the "Profile" tab in the bottom navigation bar to access your profile settings.

    Navigate to Account Settings

    Tap "App Settings" under Preferences, then scroll down to the "Danger Zone" section.

    Confirm Account Deletion

    Tap "Delete Account" in the Danger Zone. A confirmation modal will appear. Type your email address to confirm, then tap "Delete Account".

    Check Your Email

    You'll receive a confirmation email within 24 hours confirming your account deletion request. If you don't receive this email, check your spam folder or contact support.

    Timeline

    Account deletion is processed within 30 days. During this time, your account is deactivated immediately and cannot be reactivated.

    Can't Access the App?

    You can also request account deletion by email

    If you cannot access the LockAtlas app (lost phone, forgot password, etc.), you can request account deletion by email:

      Include in your email:

      • Full name on the account
      • Email address associated with the account
      • Phone number associated with the account
      • Reason for deletion (optional)
    4. 4We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days
    5. 5You'll receive a confirmation email once your account is deleted

    Can I Reactivate My Account?

    Account deletion is permanent

    Cannot Be Reactivated

    Once your account is deleted (after the 30-day processing period), it CANNOT be reactivated. If you want to use LockAtlas again in the future, you'll need to create a new account with a new email address.

    30-Day Grace Period

    You have 30 days from the deletion request to change your mind. During this time, contact support@lockatlas.com to cancel the deletion request. After 30 days, deletion is permanent.
